Sandra Vu Le

Sandra is an attorney and a 2008 Democratic Candidate for the Texas State House of Representatives.

As a first-time candidate and the first Vietnamese-American female to run for office in Dallas (and possibly in Texas), Sandra was able to successfully raise over $120,000 to run a hands-on, from the ground up, aggressive campaign, working in coordination with a campaign manager, field director, social media coordinator, political consultant and pollster.

Sandra first became interested in politics when she was in high school, after being selected in a U.S. Senate scholarship to serve as a Youth Ambassador of America to Japan. After personally meeting her Senators in D.C., Sandra traveled to Japan for two months, representing the United States at various governmental functions.

Sandra served on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Asian American Bar Association, the Dallas Asian-American Chamber of Commerce, and Mosaic Family Services (a nonprofit for victims of domestic abuse and human trafficking). She has served two terms as the Vice-President of External Affairs for the Vietnamese-American Community of Greater Dallas and was on the Advisory Board to the City of Garland Chief of Police.

Sandra and her family recently moved from Texas to the D.C. area. Sandra is thrilled about the move and especially excited to be so close the center of politics!
